After many years in development aid and humanitarian assistance, Julien has set up Solvitur Ambulando to offer a friendly and flexible trekking service for those that want to spend more time in the wild.

Julien’s love of the outdoors is combined with a belief in the health and mental benefits of a good long walk.
​
Julien grew up in Paris and Burgundy before studying Geography and Political Science in Lyon. He then lived and worked across Asia, North America and the Middle East.
​
Julien is an accredited UIMLA International Mountain Leader and a member of both the Swiss and French Mountain Leader Associations. He lives just outside Geneva.
LOUIS PAHIN - "LOU"

Ski Instructor
Lou was born and grew up in Savoie. So, for him mountains are home and that’s where he spends most of his time.
​
Lou worked many years on rope access work projects in the Alps (ex Goûter Mountain Hut on the Mont Blanc) before returning to his first love for nature, guiding and other outdoor activities.
​
As a trekking guide and ski instructor, chances are that you will meet him on the trail during summer and on the ski slopes in winter. A graduate of the National Ski and Mountaineering School (ENSA) in Chamonix, Lou works as a Ski Instructor in La Plagne where he supervises off-piste skiing and hiking courses.
​
Lou is an accredited UIMLA International Mountain Leader and a member of both the Swiss and French Mountain Leader Associations.
LUCA DURANTE
Born and raised in Geneva, Luca was trained in animal care & husbandry. ​Passionate about experimental archaeology, indigenous communities, and their traditional way of life and survival techniques, Luca spends most of his free time “into the wild”.
​
Luca has worked at Genthod Ornithology Centre (Geneva), at the Musée du Léman in Nyon and more recently with Pro Natura (Switzerland).

PATRICIA COMBET
A certified herbalist from Lyon University, School of Herbal Medicine, Patricia runs workshops and field exploration on medicinal and edible plants.

Identification, gathering, processing, use, benefit... Patricia share her passion for vegetal world and invites us to discover this wonder of nature and the incredible organization and adaptation of plants, and how important they are for our well-being.
